Hello all,
I just became a proud owner of a CM21 less them a month ago.
So far I know very little about it, even less about sailing.
I hope this forum picks up and become a gathering place for many sailor and that
we can help each other.
Thanks

Welcome! Canada seems to be a hotbed of Clipper Marine sailboats!

Our site is new, filling a need for a easy to use, friendly spot on the net about CMs.

Are you having a cold, or mild winter?

Quite mild here in Nebraska. Oddly mild.

Again, welcome.

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Vancouver is popular with mild winters, rarely goes below 0.

This winter is milder than usual, we haven`t seen snow yet., The other day

as was at the marina, and thy were more than 10 sailboats in the bay, so I guess you can sail all the time here.

Anyway I don`t know much, this CM is my first boat.

Cheers

Clipper Marine numbers are low enough, this is never going to be about lots of people joining. It will be mre like an extended family of people we get to know. We will pick up as spring follows, but it will always be easy to pop in every couple days and read every post. That will be one thing I will like about coming here.

I am sure the numbers for boats will be greater in the less than 26 feet category. These will tend to be family people with lots of commitments already, and a boat forum, another one, will be low prioratory.

I am guessing the larger Clipper Marine boats will be owned by the older sailors, people with grandkids. This group is also busy with all life has to offer, and a smaller group, as very few of these boats were made, or are still in use today.

If we end up with a dozen members that check in once a week, I will be pleased. Should it grow beyond that, I will be well pleased.

Hello, sorry for the late intro. I own a CM 30 -docked at a marina in Hudson, FL. This is my 2d sailboat, I used to own a McGregor 22 a few years back. Hope to find other West Coast Florida sailors to connect with.

Hello all. An update. Engine lower unit still kaput - still having problems with rusted on bolts holding mercury 15 hp 4 stroke in "Lady" cm 30 well. Bought 7.5 2 stroke for temporary use while I figure out what to do about other motor. next weekend will mount 7.5 on stern. also in process of pricing new bimini, new marine head and a few other items. oh - also need new inflatable. need all within three weeks as I am committed to sailing boat down to Sarasota for 4th of July - weather permitting.

Welcome Gramadin!! I too am more or less new to sailing - I sailed as a kid on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland but that was many years ago and most of that knowledge is long forgotten.
This forum has been a real blessing with the 'old-timers' sharing of information! I hope to be getting my CM26 into the water in the next week or so myself and also will post some pics at a future date.
Maybe sometime in the future you and I will have enough knowledge to help newcomers as well and pay it forward!
