Took her out today for her maiden voyage. she's all I was hoping for and SO MUCH MORE.

The seller gave my wife and me a good overview.

I paid the broker a new Benjamin Franklin to take my wife and I for our shake down trip.

Well worth it!

He put my wife to work on the boat and a long time at the helm. She liked it! Yay!

He told me things it would have taken me a long time to learn, like keeping the diesel at 2,200 rpms, while a bit below top end for the motor, burns 2x more diesel fuel. Says it should burn about a quart an hour at 2200 rpm. Had never used self tailing winches before. Now I understand them. Nice. He properly adjust the mis-adjusted cunningham.

He had me run her hard at full speed and do figure 8ss to shake off the crud.
Wow, with a mid engine prop this boat can turn on a dime. I mean it was wild to turn sharply and pivot so hard...tightest turning radius I've ever experienced sailing.

Going right back out solo early tomorrow morning as it broke 100 degrees today...morning sailing only for me.

I will videotape and photo the boat tomorow. Left my camera all day in my truck up top of the marina. All appears great but my boom cover has seen better days. Needs replacing.

What an awesome boat. I am so friggin', drop-dead tired from all of that and showing my CM26 boat. I decided to sell her from home. I can clean the bottom better, I can show the boat and trailer together, and I can ensure that my cable is all good. Plus, the sailboat shop guy reminded me that when I pull up the cable, if there are any quagga muscles attached to my cable, they'll come up and potentially stink up the boat, so Iwould rather address these things first and at home.

Sounds like a full/exciting/educational/exhausting day. It's great your wife had a fun and liked the helm.

Today should be really fun being able to take some personal time w/ her. Check out all the nooks and crannies.

Have a blast Mark, you sure deserve it.
