| My flushdeck CM26 (MT NEST II) was nothin' but tailights today. Sold her to a very nice, slightly more mature couple than my wife and me. He is so much like me...like most or all of us have been at one time or another...head over heels excited about learning to sail. He was on CL every day and reading...and when he showed up today, he had already been to Bass Pro shops, Cabella's, Harbor Freight buying new goodies for her. Thanks to Jake, I was able to buy the correct cable (13' feet of stainless 7/19 3/16" cable, thimble, and clamps--for $23.) He will figure out how to get her raised to replace the cable. The new owner is pretty sharp, pretty inventive...I like him. He will make changes I never dreamed of...such as he plans to replace the manual winch on my trailer extention, the one used to step the mast...with a remote electric 2,000 pound winch from Harbor Freight...for $50. He will take great care of her. I will steer him to both sites and he can decide to join in on either or both forums. For me, I already purchased a gallon of HD SAE 30 oil and a new vacuum oil pump to change the diesel oil in my new Catalina 27. I have much on this new craft to keep me busy. I am cruising the main forum a bit more these days and staying up with this forum since Gary was kind enough to open it up to all sailing enthusiasts. Guess I'm now her PO. A Clipper Marine? Oh yeah! I owned one and sailed the hell out of her for more than 2 years. Nothing but great things to say about these good old boats! Thanks again, Jake! _/) Mark | |

| Mark, you are a great person, in that we all love your posts.
Glad you were able to get back to just one sailboat, a personal goal of mine! lol | |

| That's fantastic Mark. Bittersweet I am sure. I am sure it is easier to focus on your new love now though. | |
