A new to me CM30

A friend gave me this boat. He is 83 and has not sailed her in 10 years. I saw the boat tied up to the dock, but with the activity of the muddaubers, did not get on board. This will happen as soon as it cools a bit and then will give those guys a couple bombs. It sits level in the water and will need some tlc when I haul her and trailer her to my place.

I'm no newbie to sailing as I have raced a few boats in my life. I had been a landlubber for around 10 years and just jumped on the chance to bring this old girl back to life. Ernie

Be sure to keep your 83 year old friend active on the boat so you can both enjoy her.



The CM30's are a favorite of mine, because of the outboard / inboard design for an engine. I think that was a very cleaver feature of those boats. Some were at the front of the cockpit, some at the stern. The stern version was somewhat easier to maneuver around docks and tight slow turns.
