| The same heritage, the same hands built both. Same suppliers, same attention to craftsmanship for safety, and durability. One girl went on far flung adventures in the Gulf of Mexico and as far north as the Great Lakes, while the other was a Pacific girl, roaming all around California, and even spent time as a dorm room through 4 years of college. The California girl, usually had people keeping her pretty close to ship shape, while the other girl was more of a tomboy, getting into accessories that were not home spun, and having things broken, being replaced with whatever was handy at the time. After what must have been billions of miles of water passing by over the years, these two sisters meet up in an unusual place, a small lake in Nebraska. Like a Christian Bernard moment in time, from when they were born, one is going to be a donor for the other, to help her glide hopeful and strong, another 40 years. Do they recognize one another, as they sit quietly at the waters edge? In an odd sort of way, I think they do. I think they remember their Father, William Crealock. I think maybe they planned this journey just as much as I did, bringing them together. Both sailboats had a time on the Nebraska dock, to witness to the marvelous achievements of their Father, both sailboats spent time soaring on the winds, and as both sailboats have their components merged into one, both sailboats will continue to be representative of the largest trailerable cruising sailboats ever built, a Clipper Marine 32 | |
