reading what ya'll write makes me feel clueless on somethings,i have sailed 1 time & it was the most relaxing peaceful experience i ever had.i found a cm 26 ayear ago & feel in love with her lines & the clipper bow.i never really liked those pug nose catalinas or hunters.i got the boat & tandem trailer for $2,500 had the trailer rebuilt bulldog hitch,bearing buddies new bunks & banks they even galvanized them for me.then knowing my abilities or lack of i took her to a professional.he fixed all the fiberglass cracks & pin holes on the bottom,sanded all the navy blue paint the previous owner put on with a brush .top cap removed glass fixed new rub rail with a rope inlay aqua top paint, bottom paint, side is ethereal blue and patched a few spots where gel coat was thin.i spent $10,720 on that yea thats alot but the transformation was night & day.i'll post some pictures soon but know i'm chasing that oilfield money in south texas don't get home much.great web site glad i found it K.T aka..el quapo
