Awesome story!  Thank you for sharing this wonderful story.  I hope to get our boat in to the water soon.  Your son must be thrilled to have such an adventure with you..

Made it to work this morning.  No great crisis and no meetings for the day.  Sun and 15 mph wind outside so I bagged it after a couple of hours and took Triticum out for the afternoon.  Most of the time I was doing 4.5 to 6 mph (per the GPS).  I passed a Cal of about the same size.  Yeah, he had his roller jib partly furlled but with no crew, I was running on just my mainsail.

Ran all the way up Budd Inlet and crossed over into Eld Inlet, turned around and shot over to Boston Harbor to watch a guy with a board and a kite zooming back and forth.  Looks way too wet for my tastes.  Turned tail and ran back into Olympia.  Dropped the boat back at the house and made it to cub scouts on time.  Sure beats a day at work!

I'll post a couple of pictures when I find the camera again.

Cruise Log Fallin10

Mt Rainer in the background.  Cal in the foreground but falling behind...

Not quite sure what this is but he has a full wet suit because the water is about 50 degrees and he spent a lot of time in it!
