Ahoy fellow Clipper Marine sailors: Very Happy

I have been searching for the proper tension settings to tune the standing rigging on a Clipper Marine CM23-TK. I see in the manual it says to set the forestay so there is 5-6 inches of movement. Does anyone have the factory numbers to set the tensions using the Loos gauge?

fair winds and following seas...

Dilpickle thanks

Go here http://www.loosnaples.com/how-to-use-pt-series-tension-gauges . They have tables for basic settings for different cable sizes and a discussion on tension setup on various rigs.

We set the tension on Sugar Bee under sail.  While healing. snug up the low side just enough so they are not loose.

This may be the incorrect way, but it has worked for us so far.

A sailboat is not a guitar.

Thank you for the replies. They are very helpful.

I found this very informative and easy to accomplish video  about rigging tuning on YouTube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuhVrb1gI04

There are others on his main page. It is from the Maryland School of Sailing.

I hope to sail the seas of the Earth someday and these videos are a good place to start.

cheers,
