| W/ all the drama going down that generated on the other site, I may need to take some. I haven't been over there much since this site took off. Went to see what all the hub-bub was about and wish I hadn't. Nothing productive going on and it is infected our little sand bar here. Hope things get back to positive sailing stuff soon. Let the shit winds pass and fugitabautit..... | |

| I should have stayed out of it, but it ticked me off that they knifed Mark. Now the big D is saying I am a moderator. How funny. | |

| Remember that the average asking price across all sites that I visited for the C27 was, I believe, $13,974...something close to that.
They were asking $15,500.
So, I offered $13,000. I knew it was low, but wanted to see where their reality check could be cashed.
They called back today and said $15,000.
Wait a second...last week he told me that the prior offer of $14,500 fell thru.
I called him on it.
He denied it.
I reiterrated that Tom himself had told me that.
He denied it. Said, nope, it was $15,000.
Oh well!
So, I called the credit union back and asked for terms on $15,000 in case I need to go that high.
For the record, its a very nice sailboat and I REALLY want it...but the lure of the deal is a mighty pull. I'd rather negotiate it down or wait them out and risk losing the boat, 'cuz another one will always be found on the leeward side.
Gonna break the drama to the wife tomorrow...hopefully she'll say, youre quibbling over $1,500 to get the boat I want...git 'er done.
Great Jimmy Buffett lines: If I ever live to be an old man I'm going to sail down to Martinique I'm gonna buy me a sweat-stained bogart suit and an African parakeet. I'm gonna set him on my shoulder and open up my trusty old mind I'm gonna teach him how to cuss Teach him how to fuss and pull the cork out of a bottle of wine.
I am outta here!
