| Calm winds, way too calm, but sail 1 is now in the books. | |

| There was so little wind a row boat could race me. Lol What it did accomplish is a successful exit and entry of my slip. Out of all the slips at my lake, my slip is the one that goes past the most expencive boats, so the potential is there to do a great deal of damage should I mess up. I also go past the fuel docks and you get that as a wild card as you never know what might be going on there. The water was glass smooth at the slips when we came back in. Docks were empty. No one to see the big first sail around the lake. Most all my major triumphs in life have gone unheralded. Lol. No parades, no speeches, no ticker tape. Just the family unit glad to have the first one past us.

| Always a toss up when it comes to firsts. Do I want it calm and collected where everything goes smooth? Or full of small tragedys that need to be solved but make the final success that much more rewarding? It's a toss up for me and in the end I enjoy whatever I end up with. Like your docking lesson I just find the things I can to further my knowledge of sailing. Hope you get back out there soon. | |
