| I read somewhere that some of the Clipper Marine fleet may have been assembled or manufactured in Mexico. Any truth to this? And if so, where in Mexico?
Is this something that shows up in hull numbers?

| It is indeed true. I don't know where though. I believe it may be indicated by an "M" in the HIN but not sure. I think it appears in mine but would have to check again. And I think it is in the HIN of that 32 sloop that was recently mentioned on the other site.
As I'm sure you are aware Greg is the man w/ the most answers. I wish he could be located and pass that torch.

| OK did some looking and found a pic of Gones HIN on Photobucket: CLM 06039M77 E.
Here is the number of the one for sale in Florida: CLM 06033M77 C.
So all I can tell for sure is that ours is just a bit younger than the one for sale.

| A telltale sign its made in Mexico is:
Come on, I know you all want to play...
The cushions are multi-colored stripes like a poncho!
There is a hint of a smell of a burrito in the cabin.
There is a pair of dice hanging from the boom.
The windows have been chopped low.
The boat bounces unusually high in rough seas
OK, my apologies to anyone I've offended...seriously, my sense of humor gets the best of me and the fact that I live a short drive from our good friends down in Mexico.
Viva la Clipper Marine!
