| First day off in 11 days, most of them dark to dark. Been working on a one of a kind 40' Cat that I'll post about later. Went out for breakfast w/wife, chilled w/ the boat yard neighbors, got a couple of boat projects mostly done. Now kicking back. What's your favorite beverage to kick back w/?? DRAGONHEAD is one of mine. | |

| Rum...Bacardi 8 is very good. Aged a minimum 8 years.
A nice 'Dark and Stormy' is always good on the boat. Ginger ale is good for seasickness. I also have a good list of 'boat drinks' for my guests.

Used to love Mountain Dew in the glass bottles chilled as you say. Would drink it all day long. Flavor just isn't the same in plastic to me. Nowadays it's coffee right off, lots of water all day , then a couple of beers in the evening. Always trying new micro-brews. Skål!!

| In the day sugar was used. Sweet. Today corn sweeteners (or worse) replace sweet sugar. Bitter. | |

| Meyers Dark on the rocks. For the wife it was Dr. Pepper original from Texas. A small outfit still made the original Pepper with Imperial sugar and shipped it all over the country via internet sales. Their original contract allowed them to only sell in Dublin, TX and the surrounding county. the increasing sales started to threaten corporate America and the Snapple group shut them down via court order. I bought her one of the last cases available at a premium price. She still is hoarding the last 6 pack. | |

| For me Pepsi is the drink of choice as far as soft drinks go. Now for beer - I developed a taste for dark beers while in Germany while in the Army back in the 70's (Anyone remember the 70's??). Guinness is my favorite brew. The better half requires a lighter beer but doesn't like 'lite' beers. I kinda spoiler her and so prefers a beer with a little more 'body' to it. terry s. | |
