PostSubject: Sailing In My Backyard   Sailing In My Backyard EmptyTue Aug 26, 2014 12:50 am

My boats have been in dry dock all summer.  One of them, two summers, one, three.

Sugar Bee looks rather forlorn so far from the ocean where she had spent her whole life.

Someone left a business card in my house door asking to buy a sailboat.  I have not called them back.

I have so many business irons in the fire, I have no time to sail.

What should I do?

Wife says sell, sell, sell.

Would selling one allow you time to sail the other?   Are all of the business projects making money?  What would you rather have?  The money or the time to sail?  A balance between the two is an acceptable answer!

I would like to retire, put a boat back in the ocean where they belong, and putt around one coast or another.  What stops me?  My wife likes the land, and I am larger than my sailboat.  lol  I would have to trade larger, something I could get at all areas of the boat.  Sugar Bee is small enough, I cannot get in the engine room.   The diesel mechanic was 5'8" and he complained.
