I have a background that goes back 30 years as a photographer. I usually spend more money on gear than I do working the craft, so I do body arts to pay the bills, but I have fun with my glass.

I recently decided I wanted more time outside in the sun and wind, and sold off a large chunk of my equipment and transferred that into my sailboat interests. I think I will like that passion better. Wish I had followed that course many years ago.

I do own photoshop, in several flavors, Photoshop, LightRoom, Essentials, however I usually use a program called ACDSee 4 Pro (or is it 5, can't keep up with all the name changes, what ever is the most current, just upgraded again)

Photography has changed so much over the past year. Cell phones come with better cameras and apps to use them, than ten thousand dollar cameras not long ago. The sunset photo on the top of the page, is my iPhone and an app called HDR Pro. Stunning photograph and all my top dollar gear had zero to do with it.

Forgot to answer your question, yes, that is my most recent addition, pictured here tied comfortably next to a dock. A little playing with the image in ASDSee and we have a totally new image. Something our sitting President has also taken advantage of.
