| Hello all, Just wanted to introduce myself now that I'm an official Harstad/Clipper Marine owner. I just closed the deal for a Harstad 31 in Astoria, Or and hopefully will have it safely home by the middle of February. My wife and I plan on outfitting the Harstad for the Great Loop and plan to start that adventure before the end of the year. Again nice to meet you all

| Hello everyone, I bought my CM21 about 3 years ago and immediately fell in love. I live in Northern CA, and we hauled her with us to Portland, where we put Her in the Columbia Gorge. The day before we left, we got some serious wind and had a ball flying around that river! But, alas…it didn't last long. Her keel slammed against the keel trunk, water came leaking in, and I thought that Her keel was gonna tear Her hull apart before I could get things under control. So, here I am at yet another forum (forever optimistic) trying to find out how she is supposed to be put back together. I am even more ignorant of computers and my smart phone, but I have tried to find the archives, and pictures myself. Somebody PLEASE HELP ME | |

| There is no magic to this. I ended up buying a bench grinder from harbor freight that has a flex extension on one end. I taped it to a stick so I could get up in the keel well and sand the surface. I then used long slats of wood to pay the fiberglass up into the well. I think I got three layers in. I have a 26 so when it crunched (each time...) the water doesn't just flow into the hull but into the false floor. I finally cut out hatches in the false floor and it I can ever get it totally dry, I am also going to pot the back side of the patch.
S/V Triticum spent 8 hours in the bay today. The water in the bottom of the hull looks like it could be picked up with a paper towel. I'm not sure this isn't just more water running out of the wood in the false floor. Bad news is that I couldn't get the keel down. Good news is that the engine is running well.
Do you come to Portland often? I am in Oly and could be talked into a Clipper Get together on the river. | |

| I would add to prevent this always run with the keeper bolt in place when sailing. | |
