| I just purchased my 1973 CM26 swing keel and was wondering where I can get the specs for setting the tension on the rigging? Can anyone help me?

| Recently acquired a CM26 that I want to sail this coming summer. Needs minor rehab'g due to sitting for a while. The reason it had sat is because it's keel is missing Any suggestions where to look for one or suggest a keel from another vessel refit to mine. Not wanting to go the fabrication route from scratch really. Any ideas much appreciated. | |

| Good luck finding one. Check here and the Trailer Sailor site and post on Craig's list. Somewhere I saw the photos and plans for a steel replacement swing keel recently.
On Craig;'s List Reno, NV. there is a complete CM 26 for sale with trailer for $750.00. Might be a good option. | |

| Good Day everyone,
Finally after a year of prepping my CM26 I am ready to launch. Question to you all, one item I have not been able to see as for it's condition is the keel cable. Since my craft is on a trailer, I have not been able to drop the keel to examine it or the cable. Is there any way of examining the cable before it goes into the water?
In addition to this question, I read about putting in the keel locking bolt which is a 3/8" bolt, where is this hole located? opposite the winch for the keel about 3 ft away is a large bolt and nut which I think is the bolt for the keel, to the right of that going toward the bow is a bolt that is already in place and painted over. Is this the bolt?
Can anyone direct me on this situation, pictures could help..my email is Ric26h@aol.com
Thanks again. | |
