| Hmmm, Dano's been posting his work and repairs on SP. He's hinting of a secret buyer who will announce this soon. Anyone know who that is? Ev, Gary, PENNY? :-)

| I am thinking Penny. It sure as hell is not me. Lol
I will do an extensive post about all of this then delete it five minutes later figuring who wants to read it.
I came out way ahead with Hal's 32 Aft Cabin Ketch. Had I purchased SP I would have been disappointed I spent my money on the smaller boat. I am still angry D treated me the way he did. None of it makes a lik of logic to me.
For someone that goes at something like I always do, if Clipper Marine had made nuclear powered subs as the top of their fleet, I would not be satisfied till I got one.

| When I read the Mark's subject line I thought this was an announcement of a CM32 in his neck of the woods that was for sale. Or perhaps Gary was announcing the his 32ft Sloop was now for sale. I see I'm wrong on both counts.
I will make one correction though, Dano's boat, Superior Pleasure, is a CM30, not a CM32. (corrected)
Where it is true that I've been conducting some private negotiations for the purchase of a CM30 (which is just a day's drive from my location), the deal has not been closed. We have agreed upon a price, which I think is very generous on the sellers part, without which I would be going back after Bali Hai and a 2 year restoration project. There was some discussion about repairing the trailer brakes, which I believe has been resolved to everyone's satisfaction. The question of other accessories is still being discussed. As it stands now I will be getting 5 sails, the Main, a Genoa, a standard Jib, a Storm Jib, and Spinnaker. Also some fenders, life vests, and a throw-able ring life preserver.
Wish me luck as we iron out the last details. |

| Yeah, I posted that Dano's was a 30. Speaking of 30s. A guy calls me last night on my CM26. He knows of a CM30 at my marina...is it close to my new Catalina 27?, he asks. Yep, it's the Desert Star, just 8 or so slips west of mine. I tell him I've been trying (gave up trying) to reach Carlos, the owner, to get measurements of his trailer. The caller to me says the trailer is in HIS back yard. He is Carlos's friend.
He's coming over to look at my CM26 this weekend. Small world.
Hard to sell a clipper with a broken keel cable. Parts are on order.
