| I could and would have changed several things about Clipper Marine sailboats I own. One would be the 8 foot beam. How many roads in the 70's were restricted to 8 feet wide loads? Today the standard is 8.5 feet. That 3" on each side would make crampt areas like the head just a bit easier to navigate. Maybe 6'4" height in the cabin rather than 6' or 5'11" in the center cockpit model.
Maybe a thing or two bother you about your CM that you have changed or you wish we're more to your liking.
My current struggle with my center cockpit model is the sad lack of dock cleats. A total of three grace her decks. Granted that is enough for trailer sailing and only using a dock to get on and off a trailer, but I slip my boat and three dock cleats, one on the bow and one on each side of the stern. Not large ones, 4" ones. I tie my boat up with 5/8" lines and they are too big for a 4" dock cleat. L One of my real soon projects is to add the correct size and amounts of dock cleats to make my boat stay on the docks no matter the size of the storm.
What would you change if you could? | |

| I would love to have more head height and a fixed keel. | |
