Ideas on upgrading floor

The floor area of my CM26 is just the fiberglass of the inside of the hull. I see lots of photos of other make boats but none of the CM variety. Has anyone actually put down a false floor over the bottom of their boats or just left it 'as-is'?
Any pictures or ideas would be appreciated!!

My 23 has what I believe is the original, factory installed flooring - blue carpet over ply - I'll try to get some pics of it for you, but don't have any yet.

If you go to my Craiglist ad, you can see the blue carpet. I'm pretty sure my Clipper is all original, except the Catalina 22 sails and maybe the boom.

My floor is on the to do list this year. Last year was outside cleaning, this year, more inside projects. First job, degrease and clean, then an oil base paint. Maybe then, carpet.

I would use a one part epoxy paint like Petit's Easypoxy on any interior surface of a boat.

Oil based paints don't resist mildew very well and aren't recommended for areas of high moisture. They require good and almost constant ventilation as they have a lasting odor. They also take a very long time to cure.
