When we got Sugar Bee she was equipped with a Sears top of the line plastic Port-A-Potty that I quickly decided looked better in the dumpster, had seen better days.
What to replace it with?
Gave that a lot of thought.
What did I come up with?
My business landlord is a commercial plumber, and routinely throws away toilets. I converted a smaller one, to be a Wag Gag station.
Sealed the bottom hole in the bowl, with plaster paris, and topped it off with a layer of white silicone. Did the same with the hole in the tank bottom.
The tank is now a temporary storage area for used bags that need disposed later (of just like one would properly dispose of a diaper.) Wag Bags are available on Amazon (link below), or one can make their own, if you have an imagination. Ran a bead of silicone on the inside tank lid, with Vaseline on the tank rim, so it would only seal on one side. That way, it makes an air tight seal. No smells in the head, or the cabin, even if the bags let out a little smell, which they say, they do not. Double bagged with chemical inside. .
We sail on a small lake, so head use is always pretty low anyway, so Wag Bags is our solution to keeping it simple.
I will post some pics, once the head has a fresh coat of paint.
