I have a piece of rigging I can't seem to figure out - It's a rope that transitions to a wire cable. The wire cable end has a fitting on it. I can post photos if it helps - Is this something the prior owner came up with ?? Any help is much appreciated!!

Sounds like a halyard. The cable goes through the leads at the top of the mast and raises the sail. You should have two of these, one for the foresail and one for the main.

Just pull the plug and drain both sides of the false bilge at once. A siphon will remove all of the remaining water below the level of the plug. Sorry about the fuzzy pic, gotta lay of of the coffee.Laughing

If it is the front of the mast,.. it is the Genoa Halyard, if on the back of the mast, it is the halyard for the main sail.

Wouldn't mind if you posted a pic of the rest of that guitar in front of your face. Looks like a nice axe.
