Does anyone have any sort of sunshade for a clipper?  I ended up pretty brown last summer and would like to figure out how to avoid at least some of the sun.   I have "This Old Boat" and they have some interesting ideas.  I'm just wondering if someone has tried something and had good luck with it.

I have seen biminis on a couple of CM26 boats. Mike from Hungary and another guy in Seattle that I don't remember his name. I'm not sure I have seen them on this Clipper Marine board but I know they post on the other one.

Personally, I use a cloth outdoor table umbrella. When the sun is high I tie it off to the boom. When the sun starts getting low, I lean it towards the stern and tie it at three points: the boom end and the bottom of the stern rail on both sides. I will try to find a picture if what I am talking about.

I found Mike's website:

http://lazarcsaba.hu/clipper/index.html

If you click the link for "tuning after first season" you will see the link for his bimini.

He has the nicest CM26 I have ever seen, he gutted his and completely rebuilt it. The great thing is that he documented every step along the way and posted it to his website.

Check it out.

I just clicked it and it worked. Try copy and pasting it into your browser. You won't find a better documented refit of a CM26.

The link above does work but once I get to the page, none of the links on the left side of the page work. Maybe it's a problem with my PC (I do have the latest Adobe Flashplayer installed). I'll try it from my tablet and see what happens.

Okay - now I'm really stumped!! The link above takes me to the page but as before, clicking on any of the links on the left side of the page expands them but no photos ever appear. I tried it from my tablet, my home PC and my laptop all running Abobe Flash Player 12.0 (the latest version).
I even tried it running Chrome instead of Internet Explorer with the same results. I did find that the '2010' link did allow me to view those photos but the rest still don't work.
What am I missing here?? Of course Diggs had to add that it's the best documented referb that he's ever seen!!
Help!!

Terry,
Same here. I can look at the 2010 photos, but nothing else.  It is a nice looking boat though from what I can see of her. Where is it located?

He is in Hungary.

Interesting, I am able to click them and see another set of links within each of the links that opens the slideshow.

Do you see the "banana graphics" logo when you open the page?

Yes - I do see the spinning banana when I first 'arrive' at the site. The only links that work are the one from 2010.

Bring your boats, we can raft up and call it a convention.
