| Watched the tutorial video again. It made the difference. Forgot the copy/paste function. Here are some photos from sailing on April Fool's Day (insert whatever joke you want, here) of Mark and wife sailing in AZ in 2012 Mark Wife 2 of Catalina 27 I'm seriously looking at And a partial pic of one of 10 docks at our marina. | |

| I like the window covers out of the matching sail cover material. Great idea. I will copy that for my 32 ketch. | |

| If you put them on the inside, you won't have to go out in the elements to hang your curtains. You can also find sliders that will screw onto your window frames that will allow you to hang curtains from the inside that will slide on a track. |

| The reason I like these outside, is for better protection from the elements for the boat. Much of the time, boats sit empty, with no one needing the ease of use of an internal curtain. I think curtains are great also, but these will slow the rain, and stop the sun before it ever gets on the boat. Also, I think it looks sweet!
Jake, I really want to thank you for joining here with us. We are a small group, so every member counts a great deal. Once you start posting photographs of your boat, I promise to try my best to make this place a perminate archive of your yacht and your adventures with it. As I look over other CM sites from the past, I cringe when I think of the work people went to to document their boats, to have sites pulled, abandoned, flushed to conserve space. Sickens me. Not here, as long as I am kicking, I will keep this place 100% or pass it in for other responsible people to do so.

Welcome! I posted a link to a free sailboat that was pulled up from the bottom of the lake, in the for sale section. They might we willing to sell you parts off of it and ship them to you. Or you do a road trip. Welcome to our forum

| Allow me to second Gary's welcome.
As time goes by and the membership here increases this will be a really fun place to visit and share ideas.
As far as a stern rail for your 26 goes, Gary's info might be the best right now. The only thing I can offer is the location of a CM30 that will likely be parted out, due to a lack of a new owner.
Have fun and happy sailing. |

| Every large marina has a bone yard. Ask around may work. Try running an ad on craigs list to remove unwanted sailboats. You can charge them 10 bucks, and keep stuff off them. | |

| Welcome.
As Gary pointed out, I have owned a CM26 for just over 2 years. Don't really know where to find parts other than what Gary and Penny mentioned, Craigslist, dark corners of marinas, sailboat shops. I'll help where I can when you have Qs. Mine was in great condition when I bought here so I really just sailed her and added little stuff from time to time. Sold her yesterday.
I need to power wash her the second she comes out of the water this coming week.
Sailboat shop said they'd charge $20 to de-step her...Wha-wha-what? Hell, yeah! Sold to the lowest bidder. I just need to prep for the de-stepping, shrouds, lines, boom removal, crutches, etc.
