The Clipper Marine 32, They Never Made???

In my becoming an historian of all things Clipper Marine, I happened upon something hidden in the pages of a 1975 magazine.

Look at this ad from March 1975 in Rudder magazine.



Notice the helm and the seating around it. Seating is not bow to stern along both sides of the boat, but along the aft cabin, facing forward, behind the helm. Also note the two seating positions on the corners of the front in the cockpit. Is this a bench running clear across the boat?

Notice no seating beside the helm, to allow easy access to all sides of the helm without walking over seats. Also note the helm is square in the middle of the cockpit. In the productions I have seen, and the one I own, the cockpit helm is to the back third of the cockpit almost pressing up against the aft cabin wall.



This clearly shows a boat, I do not believe they ever made. I have never seen photographs of such a boat.

Has anyone here ever seen this model, as shown in this diagram?

In contrast, here is a photograph from the owners manual supplied with the boat, and some original photographs.

This would have been a smaller aft cabin, and I feel, that was scrapped because of this. Sitting up in one bunk would not be possible because of no head room, and the other bunk would not be possible at all if there were a well drive motor as an option.
