Sweet, good to see a sailboat in the water, where they belong! Mine is sitting between evergreen trees, under a tarp, waiting for winter to start (80 degrees yesterday)

Good luck the surgery and the trip down.
In the mean time if you feel like typing on some long, cold, vinter night we would love to read about your adventures aboard your Clipper. There is just nothing to be found as far as first hand accounts of these boats (32s) sailing anywhere. Gary has done some on his lake and is giving feedback here. We still haven't splashed so can't add anything. Before we bought ours I made email contact w/ a guy who had sailed his in the Gulf of Mexico. I asked for info and he replied it handled it well but lost his rudder once. Never got anymore than that.
Just think it would be cool to have some documentation of what these boats are capable of. Especially in a cruising or live aboard situation.
All the best, Ev.

The photo of the inside of the aft cabin is pretfy rare. Not many on the internet. Thanks for posting that. Looks to be a cupboard along the stern?
Everett, my other CM32 was once in the Gulf, a guy named Wallace did a 7 month vCation sailing down there. Wonder if it is the same guy? He was an infrequent poster on another site. Pretty quiet. Have not heard a peep out of him after we traided sailboats.
That trade was one where we both came out way ahead. He got a better end of the deal, by a long shot, until I obtaned Sugar Bee and needed a couple items. The salon table, imagine trying to find one on the internet. Impossible. Found one, in my back yard.
Too bad Hal Does not post here. I purchased Sugar Bee from Hal. He sailed her all over the coast of California. He also stuck a bunch of repairs in her over the years, and his testimony would be worth gold to some future CM owners. I exchange texts with him, but his health is not good, keeps recovering from one surgery after another. When i was trying to purchase his boat, sometimes his emails would be a month apart. Not easy to do business that way, but we got her done.
But hey, once a month emails, was more frequent than trying to purchase a CM 30. Had two different flakes i was trying to do bjsiness with all winter, trging to get a boat. Lol. Flakes is not a big enough word. How aboht screw balls, dick heads, jack offs, duficies. That is pretty close.
Hal is a great guy with lots of CM knowledge of his 32, i will twist his arm and get him to sign up here after he gets better.

Well that's cool always good to know the right people. Gary I like your style your right about flakes. It's my intention to document a lot of what I do for my grandkids. So when I do get down my first trip will be a buddy trip to Lapaz lots of ports on the way. My friend lives there in the winter he found the boat for me. Iam semi retired so I can do this cost to be there is about 800 month and that's living pretty good go to town every day. I join the yacht club there about 35 a year. But it gives you privlages at all ports. So Iam really looking forward to the adventure. Have a good Gary chat with you soon

Gary, that could be him. Name even sounds slightly familiar and I do remember him posting (over there) occasionally.
Ideshner, thanks in advance. Even those cost figures are good to know. I have only found one blog that gave a complete list of costs to cruise down there. (Rich Boren and his family on S/V Third Day). Now they have returned to California so no more reports from Baja.

But you should be able to take care of your self. The boat has always been a dream of mine and I always follow through I think you have to otherwise you stagnate. Anyway I think you got the right idea liquidation I mean. Stay focus on what you want pray those Mayans smoked to much wacke tabacke December 21 st I think ! Talk to you later

Nice toys!!
Sold my '72 Camaro years ago, gave the Harley to one of the sons a couple of years ago. Really miss the chopper, especially now living in the Keys, but it just wouldn't fit on the boat.

I had a 71 Z28. Youth is wasted on the young. Only car I want back more is my 68 Firebird convertable. That was a sweet car.
