| Does any one have a photo of the rear of a CM26 on the water ?? I'd like to determine if I need an auxiliary motor mount or if the pusher motor I have will reach the proper depth if mounted directly on the transom. Since I have to tow the boat for a little over an hour to launch it, I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row in advance!! I'd hate to get there and find everymans horror that I'm an inch short!! terry s. | |

| would a pic of the standard LS evenrude 9.9 on the stern while on the trailer be of use? I tried a SS yamaha 2hp on the back when the 9.9 was in the shop. It would move the ship slowly. If I went above 1/2 speed, it would cavitatate and I'd loose speed. | |

| There is a scum line right about where the lower rudder bracket is. That is where she sits with a light load. | |

| Any long shaft will do. I put a short shaft on mine in a pinch and it did push me along but any time the water was not flat or I hit a wake, the motor would lift out of the water and I would go in spurts. | |

| from my understanding, there are two different kinds of long shafts. a 20 inch shaft, and a 25 inch shaft. the pic Triticum posted looks identical to my 9.9 i just put on mine today. 20 inch shaft. havent had it in the water yet, but looks well below the water line. | |

| I get you, long vs extra long. I also have a 20 inch long shaft that works great. | |
