how to find year made?

okay I'm looking for the year of my clipper..... is there a plate somewhere that shows year and production number

There is a thread on the Hull Identification Numbers or HIN's.  These may not be on the 69' and 70' clippers but should be on the stern  starting with 71'.  Once you have the number, you should be able to tell the year and month of Mfgr.  If it has an M in it, it was made in mexico.
