| I looked all over for a replacement pulley for the MK21. At last, I found a one at McMaster-Carr.com. Rather that the factory installed aluminum 3"X 1/2" with a 3/8" axle bolt hole, the replacement is cadmium plated steel 3" X 1/2" but with a 1/2" axle requirement. It was easy to drill out the keel well mounting holes to 1/2". (There are aluminum plates fiber glassed into the keel.) The 1/2" axle bolt should not bend like the 3/8" one did, and the pulley should last must longer as it has an oil lite bearing unlike the original aluminum pulley which had worn out and was deformed. The McMaster-Carr part number is 343T119, price was less that $10.00, $16.10 delivered to my door the second day.
Now to replace the cable and main keel pivot bolt.... | |
