| 18 months ago, I sent someone an email, about a sailboat in their back yard, not being used.
A Grampian 34. These are sweet sailboats. Only about fifty were made from the era of our sailboats.
Anyway, the email says they will sell it, $5.000.00
No trailer.
I assume it is ruff, It was on coastal land during hurricane Sandy. I think it was pretty much in need of repair before Sandy, not sure how much more damage she suffered.
Figure trip out to east coast, crane rental, trailer purchase for a 34' boat, 12,000 displacement, 10' beam, permits for a dozen states, diesel fuel, etc. would get the five grand to 4 times that much.
Then I would have a big hole in the water to repair.
Too steep for me.
Google image Grampian 34 and marvel at just how cool they were in their day.
