Thanks guys! in my past restores we have added weight to the bottom of the boat. We also add foam to keep it Buoyant. I have a lake right down the road from me where dad and i use to check boats for leaks and test different amount of weight. The key i have learned is to not add too much or the sails have trouble moving the boat in lighter winds.
This website is very helpful in my research. My plan is to continue to compile photos of a few different 21s. Over the next few months i plan to budget out the project and save a little money between now and spring. i hope to finish the project by the end of june!
The boat will be taking a trip with me later this year to Connecticut. I have family up there and know a few people who own fiberglass shops and sail shops in that area!
This is my first clipper i have ever done! so im hoping that it goes well!
